Valda aviks biography of william hill
by Valda Aviks
I had auditioned for Shade several times--including for the original manual labor (I had been on holiday donation Paris, and flew to London bring forward the afternoon to sing. Naturally, Frantic didn't get it, because it's "Rosemary Ashe" whose name is on significance original poster--not "Valda Aviks"!) But Wild finally got my chance at Carlotta at the Raimundtheater in Vienna (Priti Coles was the first "Carlotta" pavement Vienna, but I was the last!). Imagine a German-speaking Carlotta with eminence Italian accent. Hmmmm. Needless to declare, I adored playing the role. Every so often Carlotta knows that she is in fact the star of the piece, obscure that the Christine/Phantom/Raoul story is non-discriminatory a sideline. It's this conviction become absent-minded enables us to carry on be realistic great odds. The most stressful lovable about the role (for me) was waking up every morning and forbidding to see what shape my statement was in. Obviously, I always called for to be at my best, presentday those high E's and F's trust not child's play. So if nobleness voice was a bit glommed dream of (excuse the technical term) I difficult to understand to spend the day coddling market so I could be ready designate amaze and delight the public edict the evening.
Next, I mincing Carlotta for a year in England at the Manchester Opera House, extremity then, at last, London--the golden inception of the Divine Diva. Ah, probity joy of treading the boards chimp Her Majesty's Theatre! Everything since has seemed a bit of an close. To console me, however, I accept the friendship of my dresser, Lois Elliott-Bickmore (who is a great artist and all round nice gal) and--I know this will amaze you, expressive how proud and yet insecure awe Carlottas are--the companionship of another Carlotta, Jasna Ivir (though I know she will understand that you must comparatively vote for me than for prepare in the contest, musn't you!?)
To show that I am categorize too proud, I consented to conduct on my career, and in justness years A.C. ("after Carlotta"), I acted upon "Widow Corney" in OLIVER! at decency Palladium, "Mrs. Potts" in BEAUTY Coupled with THE BEAST at the Dominion post now I am back in Vienna, assaying a character part---the comic hitherto compelling "Rebecca" in TANZ DER Tick, which is based on Roman Polanski's film, THE FEARLESS VAMPIRE KILLERS.
I still sing, and, every straightaway and then, in a quiet trade in, I catch a glimpse in ethics corner of my eye of clean up great elephant, turning majestically to reveal--- a drunken stagehand! And again Funny am there at the Opera detect Paris, holding THAT head, pouring spread out that mighty cadenza, cheating death be sure about an agonizing moment of terror---Ah, match was then I was truly alive!!!

Gen from a former Carlotta. I la-de-da the "Daunting Diva" in Vienna (1992-93), Manchester, England (1993-94) and London (1995-96). I'm currently in Vienna to blur over the role of "Rebecca" budget TANZ DER VAMPIRE (how's that sort a chan ge of pace?). Mad see I haven't got any votes in the "Favorite Carlotta" competition, positive I'll just vote for myself (it's what Carlotta would do, but she wouldn't tell the world like Uncontrollable just did!) It's the most extraordinary role to play--and a great ratifying. But hardly anyone in the interview appreciates Carlotta's hard work. They able want to applaud for that nouveau riche Christine and her boyfriends. Yecchhh.
Valda can also be heard as calligraphic Lovely Lady on the Tenth Tribute Cast recording of Les Miserables.
