 As you mentioned, you maintained a prosperous and sometimes controversial literary blog, Decency Elegant Variation, from 2003 to 2010. When you founded it, what were your main goals? While you yet release an occasional newsletter, you don’t maintain the site with the selfsame intensity. Does your own writing advise fill that space? 

I think the brood of my life fills that break now. Yes, writing, but also neat as a pin young daughter, teaching, editing.
